How to get get Better, Faster Background Check Results?


Background checks is a time-consuming process. Education and employment records have limited data, which means a truly complete background check requires direct person-to-person contact with sources. While it may be possible to standardize the process, turnaround time (TAT) will always vary from case to case. Companies like AMS Inform are working to improve the process and TAT, but background checks won’t be fully automated any time soon.
Here are a few simple things you can do to ensure your checks are completed as thoroughly and as quickly as possible:

1. Do not rush when running a background check on your candidate

2. Have your candidate complete a release form in advance

3. Let your candidate submit information directly to the vendor

4. Furnish complete information – including copies of the candidate’s resume, application and certificates – to the vendor

Not having this information upfront can result in a much slower and potentially incomplete background check. Taking those few extra minutes to provide this type of useful data and/or the candidate’s resume or application, can help you save a lot of time.
